The Association of Chinese Insurance Professionals in the UK and DAC Beachcroft LLP organised the first event of 2020 at DAC Beachcroft’s global headquarter in London 8 January.

Liam O’Connell, Head of Global London at DACB, greeted the guests with a welcome speech.
Mr Xiaodong Yu, General Manager of Taiping UK and Honorary Chairman of ACIPUK, gave a speech on new trends in the global insurance market, Taiping UK’s plan for 2020, as well as his expectations for the Association.
The event was chaired by the President of ACIPUK, Mr Jimmy Yan.
Ms Wendy Hopkins, partner and Head of Product Liability, Safety and Recall at DACB, shared her thoughts on risks and opportunities facing the global supply chain in view of recent developments in China, including the Made in China 2025 strategy and the Belt and Road Initiative.
Ms Winky So, Director-General of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in London, Mr. Reg Brown, Former President of the Chartered Insurance Institute of the United Kingdom and Mr Nelson Wang, Deputy Head of China Desk at DAC Beachcroft LLP also attended and spoke at the event.
The Association appreciates the ongoing support provided by all our members, VIP guests and partners since the founding of ACIPUK in 2016, whom we further wish a prosperous and successful year of 2020 as well as a happy Chinese New Year of the Rat.
